  1. [25-Aug-2000] Update: Added additional cowl tag examples of different types to the Cowl Tag FAQ. Actual images of representative cowl tags will be added in the near future.
  2. [25-Aug-2000] Update: Added the 1967 A67 POP code to field "f" of the POP Decoding FAQ, and re-wrote several paragraphs of text to improve clarity. The meanings of both the new A67 POP code and the previous B93 POP code were recently verified in some GM order confirmation documentation.
  3. [25-Aug-2000] Update: Added a new section on codes for special paint to the Exterior Colors FAQ, and moved an out-of-scope paragraph on Corvette colors shared by Camaro to a new FAQ in the exteriors page (described in the next item).
  4. [25-Aug-2000] New: Created a new FAQ on Corvette Colors that were shared by Camaro, using a paragraph removed from the Exterior Colors Decoding FAQ.

  1. [25-May-2000] Update: Released a substantially updated version of the 1969 Visual ID table. The remainder of the LM1 models were added to what was formerly the LM1/M20 column, numerous minor errors were corrected, and other clarifications added. A new engine suffix code table for the remainder of the Camaro models not yet covered by the table was added at the bottom of the page. A similar engine suffix table has also been added to the 1967-68 Visual ID tables in recent months.
  2. [27-Apr-2000] New: Released a new FAQ on Engine Pulleys that is based around a downloadable PDF version of the CRG Pulley research spreadsheet.

  1. [25-Feb-2000] New: Released a new data page that begins in-depth CRG documentation of vehicle options. The outline of this page will differ from most of the other current CRG FAQ pages, using a book format with sections and subsections, rather than the FAQ question and answer format.
  2. [25-Feb-2000] New: Released a new CRG Topics of Research page that describes some of the current research issues that CRG is working on. As this page will not be a data provider, updates to the Topics of Research page will not generally be noted here in the Revisions section.

  1. [14-Jan-2000] New: Documented more clearly the coding for service engines and transmissions, and included this information in the Engine FAQ and the Transmission FAQ, as well as in the appropriate sections of the Decoding FAQ.
  2. [14-Jan-2000] Update: 1967 Fisher Option Codes. Database analysis has led CRG to conclude that there is a further distinction that must be made, and a second LOS versus NOR difference, when interpreting the "M" code (related to automatic transmission) from field 2 of the 1967 cowl tag.

Also the Z28 wheel size was copied from the 69 table in error - it should read 15x6. Both errors are corrected as of this release. Thanks for noting these Ben!

  1. Corrected calendar JavaScript problem. The FAQ Contents page will not pass the HTML4 validation test if there is a name attribute on the form, but JavaScript requires the name on the form. I'll stick with what works over what is supposedly standard but doesn't work. (Seems like an HTML4 oversight to me.)
  2. Added close buttons to pop-up windows.
  3. Miscellaneous clean-up and typographical corrections.

  1. First release at the new CRG domain at www.camaros.org, including a number of new non-technical site management pages with links on the home page that won't be listed here.

  4. First release of the CRG site navigator. Open and retain this window on-screen for easy switching between the major data-reporting pages on site.
  5. First full release of the Visual ID HyperTables for all three first-generation Camaro years: 1967, 1968, and 1969.
  6. First release of the First-Generation Camaro Decoding Calendar. Select the month and year desired, click the "GO" button, and a calendar pops-up showing the selected month of the selected year, displaying both Gregorian and Julian dates.
