There's lots of people who straighten & polish stainless. Contact a chrome shop near you & see what they have to say. Nothing fits or looks as good as original GM moldings....Joe

thanks Joe-- do the valve covers look correct I also seem them with the finned aluminum ones which is correct?

Steel, painted engine colour is correct. There was never an engine dress package. I've always viewed it as od that the big blocks in SS cars got chrome covers but 350 engine in SS didn't. Z/28s got finned covers in 1969. Chrome steel for 67/68.....Joe

Not the same. The lower part with the armrest is the same for Standard & deluxe interior. The upper part is special for Standard interior. (smaller pattern)....Joe

Most will tell you the headers are the problem. Without the back feed linkage you'll have to figure out another way to make everything work properly.....Joe

I bought a w/s glass for the 69 Camaro from ECS. It seems to be a good glass (not wavey). It had to be set differently since it's off shore & thinner.
I did lose points at MCACN for scratches in my original glass which I gladly accepted. I'd rather keep what's still original to the car....Joe

1969 is all by itself. Actually all years are different. There are at least 2 different for the 1969 Camaro. There's an early & a late for sure....Joe

That's my point.  According the the owner, he swore it was factory.  I didn't want to argue with him.

Never argue with an idiot. People watching can't tell the difference :)   Joe

The trim tag reads X22. Lots of things wrong with the car. Maybe somebody has more on it. 711 is the trim. Does look like a "Z" instead of a 7...Joe

I just paint the m/c with semi gloss black paint & just be careful when adding brake fluid. BTW, the machined surfaces got no paint If you want to know about the new dot 5 & the new offshore rubber seals, I have a horror story for that....Joe

Those brackets & the bolts were installed at the engine plant & all painted at the same time as the rest of the engine. Tonawanda & Flint may have used different bolts but try to remember that the engine plants went through possibly thousands of bolts in a day & could've been different from time to time. The only way to be close to positive on what bolt was used is to find a virgin engine from that the same engine plant, built on the same day & document it.....Joe
