General Discussion / Ford-No more paper owners manual books.
« on: February 10, 2024, 04:47:06 PM »
As of January 2024, Ford stopped shipping a paper copy of the owners manual with the vehicle. You only get a supplement. Part of my acceptance for vehicles beside verification is the manual.

Hey man, make sure to bring me an owners manual on your next delivery. There isn’t one in the glove box.
No can do.
?
It’s now built into the vehicles software.
?
Scroll through the touchscreen.
So if I have to replace a fuse, I have to use the touchscreen to find where it is?
Yep
What if the battery is dead.
Dunno man, I just sell and deliver em.

6-cylinder Camaros / Muffler and tail pipeinfo needed
« on: February 09, 2024, 02:25:50 AM »
If your car has an original muffler still on it, let me know. I’m looking for clarification, but the outlet should be in the center. If yours is in the top corner, I’m curious how it sits level. Pictures and details as always are very much appreciated. Tail pipe and anything else you care to share.

Seems they only make a rear. If you have or know of one, please PM me.

Thanks in advance.

Originality / 67-68 Rear Defog switch and knob
« on: January 31, 2024, 03:15:40 AM »
While it appears that the control knob is the same a a radio knob, it is definitely not. There is an Allen head screw and a recessed area on the shaft. The part number for the knob is there as well.

6-cylinder Camaros / New correct-ish exhaust
« on: January 29, 2024, 05:37:19 AM »
So Jim over at .Net steered me towards Waldron exhaust. He sent them his original so they had a template. 68 Chevy II is the same as 67-8 Camaro. 10 weeks later it’s on, but I need some clarification about the muffler. Originally was the outlet in the middle or top of the muffler? The right hangs low, so I’m certain the outlet should be in the middle. I used all the correct clamps and it took Enrique just over 1 hour. Plus the support brace is now back on after….we’ll it was in the trunk when I got the car. The replacement exhaust pipe sat too low so the support couldn’t be installed. Any pictures or help is appreciated. The AIM and parts book are generic.

Sometimes persistence pays off. And while my car isn’t a 69, I got the most elusive and important part.

« on: January 14, 2024, 11:33:46 PM »
I’m looking for a console light socket from a 68-9 automatic shfter. It fits my console clock and I’d rather see the clock at night than seeinng ot work. Repairing it is + $200 + the harness + shipping. If anyone has a harness and they don’t mind selling the socket with some wire attached, please PM me. Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / Money for nothin’ from 23.
« on: January 01, 2024, 05:29:06 PM »
Happy 24 to everyone. As I reflected for 25 seconds on 23, I realized how much I have gotten for free from this forum. From the reports to the friendships (yes, I’ve actually met some of these people), and best of all-pictures!! If you have gotten your money’s worth of advice and more here for free, you should donate as well. $5 a month or $60 for the year (which is what the ad free experience at T.C. is), is more than fair to help you out with your problems for you and your car. Imagine how hard your possible expensive purchase or current project would be if all you had to rely on was the web. Plus there are no ads here. Click on the “Donate tab” at the top.
