Restoration / Re: 1969 Z28 radiator hoses

Jeff does a fantastic job stamping in my opinion, because he’s in full control of the end product. If you’re a real stickler, you should source your own hose and have him stamp it. You can also go to your local auto parts store and see if it fits.
OER is just using the big 3 auto parts stores to source the hose.

Genuine intakes did not have a bow tie cast into it, among also missing the front oil filler tube.

For the drums to work effectively and as designed it is absolutely necessary that you:
Upgrade to front disc.

In my world,  as long as the trim tag, VIN plate, and firewall with the hidden VINs are intact as a unit, it doesn't matter. What is your end goal?

Can you post a few pictures? If I'm a betting man, I'd lean towards the Firebird owning the trim, not the Camaro.

Mild Modifications / Re: Big Cap HEI Distributor in Small Block 68 Camaro
« on: February 08, 2025, 05:55:09 PM »
The limited space from the big HEI cap the the firewall can vary due to the engine mounts. The modern systems eleimate that possible issue, but if you had one to test fit I'd say go for it.

The "Coffee can" is for ac only. The tank at the left front is for the headlights.
Both are independently plumbed for their specific operation
There SS has no association with either.

Thanks Kurt, I remember seeing video, pictures, or documents somewhere showing how it was to be applied. Rear half of three rear wheelelwells and someplace else. Do you by chance have a link?

Thanks for the input. After doing some sleuthing, I found a local company and will see what their estimate is. There doesn’t appear to be a big need for undercoating or the removal either in San Diego….stay tuned.
