My engine guy had enough problems with Comp cam solids that he was only installing rollers.  His business is 99% race cars but has put some small rollers in a couple Z28s.  I am pretty sure the one was a Howards that a lady is now driving the car after her husband passed.  I drove it a couple times and had good vacuum and really responsive.  I believe this is the part number 111213-10. 
If you run a solid, use the lifters with the direct lube hole in them.  Friend of mine seems to get along good with those. 
I just built a 427 small block and used a crower 00425.  They said it should still have enough vacuum to run power brakes.  I had a 140 cam in my one Z and it was not the best for power brakes!
With a roller the lifters get expensive, we get billets, and you need a cam button.

Oh its real. I have seen enough stamps and the engine has been in this barn for 50 years Car was getting rusty and him and his buddy pulled the engine and sold the car.  I want it for spare parts and would not be selling it.  Just wanted ideas on what would be fair.  bc and a friend on the yenko site and I had the same general idea so I will see what happens.

Friend of mine has a Dz shortblock with corvette heads and intake from a 327.  No carb or distributor.  It has been sitting since maybe the mid 70s in his barn. Car is gone. I do not know if it turns over.  I want to make him an offer but not sure what it is worth and do not want to offend him. 
Anyone have an opinion?

I saw a 69 Z in those colors years ago.  Interior looked black until you put your head inside.

I agree on the pad.  Couple easy things to see that are not normal to me besides having the vin on the pad. I am ohiofarmer on there.  I hope the seller can figure out where the vin should be and get a picture of it.

I looked it over last year and it had a note in the console that who ever bought it was supposed to call a guy that had information on the car.  Later on a facebook group I am in, this guy posted he had the instructions for either mounting the cowl parts or the intake (I cant remember which)  He then posted pictures when he owned the car years ago.  I just figured the crossram was a reproduction but now I think it was real.  It was a nice car and I thought it had a lot of original paint.  One thing that I didnt like, when it was rust proofed, they plugged the holes with red plastic plugs.  They could have been changed but sure stuck out like a sore thumb

David the report in this thread is Dannys car not the auction car.  I do see the auction car says 12A and Jerrys report says 12B

I am pretty sure it is for a light.  Found some on ebay and wire and clip the same.  Probably unhooked when someone put a silly cowl hood on this car!  Thanks guys

Thank you.  I will look that up.  The car now has a cowl hood so the light could be missing.
