My beat-up original cable (before I built a new one) had gray vinyl where center section meets the connectors, and a black center.  Metal ends were unpainted.  This was off a 68 LA build, Jan 1968.

Not sure if this helps, but my buckets are out of a '67 Firebird.  They had standard covers and headrests.  The cable, broken already when I bought the car in '83, is grey/grey.

Quite frankly I don't see any difference between my strap and that of Boston14's. They are both gray/gray or white/gray depending on the light, exposure, and camera used. I can take several pics of the same strap and everyone would be diff...

Know this is an old thread, but there's one currently listed on eBay HERE. Best do your homework to check originality and correct application, as it has a black cable (rather than gray) and appears to be lacking heat shrink over each end. But it does look similar to the strap from a '67, picture posted towards the bottom of page 1 by MyRed67.

Thanks Tim, it looks exactly like mine.  I bought it, 'cause it's rare to find 'em.  And it looks to be a very nice original. It took 2 years, but CRG comes through again.  Thanks Guys for keeping this alive!

I have a couple of these I found in my misc. Camaro parts bin.  They are from a 69 and are grey, and about 7" long.  Not sure what they are worth, but if you are looking for one, email me and make me an offer.
