AMK has the correct bolt and washer. I got it in my new bolt kit and they look identical including correct head markings.

Apparently, you supply the actual cable???

Camaro Central has the correct head screws and pivot shoulders, as well.

Daniel - If its not too much trouble can you send me a pic of the hardware you received from AMK. I'd like to compare it to the hardware on reply/pic #4.

Thanks Phillip...

Sorry guys. I haven't had a chance to speak to Jeff yet, but I promise I'll call him Tuesday. So how many guys need the cable?

Hi Guys,

Here are some pictures of an original replacement tether cable I have on my '69. My original was missing, so I purchased a very clean used original.  I lightly wire brushed the hardware on my pedestal grinder then waxed them to give some protective coating. The hardware is original for reference.

Good luck with your projects to reproduce the cables.

Ok guys. I just spoke to jeff and he's going to see what he has and call me back. It may take a few days to get to the seats (they're in a different storage area), so stay tuned.

Well, the news isn't good guys.

I just spoke to Jeff and he does have several sets of seats, but most of the cables are broken, missing, cracked, etc... The two that he found that were still in good shape are attached to seats that are also in good shape, so he doesn't want to pull the cables off and sell them separately.

Looks like we're back to the drawing board on this one.

Thanks Ed, I appreciate the effort and will just consider it another wow factor if I do stumble across a set. Can't blame your friend for not wanting to seperate. I wouldn't either. J.R.
