I was hoping one of you would say that. I figured since I sent it off clear to El Paso I may as well have both sides done. Sounds like either way works.

Thanks Chris

Anyone know if their L48 block is 2 bolt or a 4 bolt main?

I don't know yet if mine is, but the 69 "HN" block that I have is a 2 bolt. That was a 350/300 4bbl with 041 heads and a 388 block.

Even though no metion is made with respect to the 388 there is some good reading here. With regards to 2 & 4 bolt mains, only the LM1 (which replaced the L30) & L48 are referenced, stating that the LM1 was a 2 bolt main, & the L48 was a 4 bolt main with few exceptions.

Read " LM1's vs L48's " (the entire article is great).

Just like you I would like to know if there is a production ratio with regards to 2 vs 4 bolt L48's.

I have the 4 bolt main.

Kelvin,

Thanks for the data on your car and for participating in this thread. Trust me when I say you are not the first person to struggle with posting pics on this site, nor will you be the last. Once you get the hang of it...it's a piece of cake. Here is a link that I think will help. In the mean time you can send the pics to my email address and I will be happy to post them for you. They will not be the best quality since I will need to take a pic of a pic and then re-size it. If you agree please send them to my email address. You can find it in your Personal Messages (PM).

IZRSSS,
As requested, here are some details about my car and a photo from before I cleaned up the engine bay... I have lots of photos and paperwork if you need anything else.  It still has the original windshield and vert top.  Too bad for the 80's paint job.

The options and details are in my signature link and CRG has photos of all the stamps in the database.

Absolutely...please read my first post so we have some sort of consistency when posting these cars (minus keep discussions to a minimum...the more the merrier).

Thanks GUS
