Austin, it is one of the rear axle rubber bumper and bracket assemblies.  They mount to the rear frame rails.  You can find their exact locations in the AIM: UPC 4, Sheet B3.

Yup, it looks like they removed the masking tape while the paint was still wet.  ;)

Chick thanks for posting the pics. Looking forward to having this car participate in Vintage Certification in the near future. Just looking at the pics weakens my knees. This is one of the most complete unmolested and unfluffed cars I've seen. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

Agree Steve! The more in depth its looked at the more appreciation we have for this rare specimen of a Camaro. Had LOL when I read Bruce's (Bergy) note on don't see them restored that way (spoiler), as I thought the same thing when looking at it.....

Oldest camera we have and now obsolete I believe! It's a Kodak easy share that utilizes a docking station to re-charge. Small, and I like the close up feature on it along with ease to download to computer. Its the best of what we have for taking those close up's!
