Have you looked at the PCV to see if its the Spun one? looks by pic that its not??

Rich, yes it still has the old spun valve which was checked during Vintage Certification.

I thought this was interesting. On spoiler cars, I thought the holes for Camaro trunk emblems were drilled in both the lower and upper positions. There is no sign that the lower holes were ever drilled on this lid. Also, there are no acorn-style nuts along the back edge spoiler studs.
FWIW there is a research topic on the piercings on the decklid... this is the best discussion on the subject without rival.

Original battery tray and note the tab where the battery hold down clamp attaches. I've not noted a NOS service replacement battery tray yet with the tab but have pictures of several survivors that have the tab.

Some say the a-arm shims were zinc from the factory but what I've noted seems to indicate they were natural with no coating. Note on Skip's A-arm how well preserved the zinc nut is, the painted A-arm assembly, and how rusty the original shims look. No remnants of zinc IMHO.

Now to the lower hood release and how it is attached with four 3846202 captured washer screws.

Yes Bill, and a few intake bolts had remnants of silver paint on as they were not zinc as seen in one picture.

Like most of everything else, my shims were entombed in undercoating and/or paint. No corrosion. The surfaces which mated next to each other bore no sign of zinc, from what I could observe. Nothing shiny. And I had my reading specs on 8) They received a low pressure bead blast and a coating of Sharkhide. You can see part of the shim tab upper left corner.

So I was reviewing Skips car, and noticed a couple of things. Looks like the original owner installed some aftermarket rear speakers. Was this a factory AM/FM car?

Also in relation to the radio. Shouldn't there be the rosewood trim pieces on the radio face behind the volume knob and tuning knob?

Thanks

I took this picture recently reviewing and confirming that the screw and bottom section of spark plug 2 piece heat shield (drivers side) that bolts to block was installed prior to paint at Flint and bolt's captured washer was in fact a star type locking washer.

All four center caps have a prominent indent from inner portion to face. The inside of caps have double poles or columns where screw attaches. Bottom of inside cap is different from earlier caps smoother bottom. All cap inside bottoms stamped #3925805 and 5525504.
