Most that I have seen have been fairly prominent, but there are some that are harder to see because of light stamping.

That's very cool! It should be easy to fab a firewall flange to mate up to the air cleaner with a rubber connector.

No relationship to vinyl roof installation. Wheel opening moldings were part of the Z21 option that was included with RS or available as an extra cost option on non RS cars.
