I read recently that humanity is doomed in 250 million years due to massive tectonic plate shifts. So, it just doesn't matter what happens "when". Besides, considering he is not "old", Bryon will probably still be here maintaining the DB.

Harsh considering you didn't know the answer either. Just to be clear, the one in your link is not assembly line correct which is what your original question seemed to be asking.

Sorry to be Johnny Raincloud, but based on what you have stated, I'm afraid you are between the proverbial rock and hard place without paperwork. That doesn't mean you don't have a great car to enjoy and be proud of, it's just virtually impossible to verify it's origin. By all means, have Jerry inspect the car! He'd be able to find anything that may help identify the car.

Again, your car looks great! Enjoy it no matter what it is!

67 Z's were very unassuming.

I agree, I'm sure no offense was intended. But you have to realize this site is more about preservation and originality than custom or resto-mod. So that is why you may see comments that might not align with your vision.

For something so simple, if you look at the complex bending you can see why they are not reproduced correctly. I'd imagine the tooling cost is why no one replicates them accurately. With age, the tabs are very brittle and very difficult to remove intact; even for non gorillas.

The body number seems a bit high for an 8/67 car.

You need to find good originals if original detail is desired. Reproduction wheels look similar, but are not 100% accurate. Best option is to straighten your wheels, but that's not possible for all bent wheels.

I mounted mine on a piece of plexiglass and had it on the dash when I went on base. Some of the sentry guards didn't like it, but I was never ordered to put the sticker on the bumper. Back then I shaved all emblems, decals, dealer plates and emblems for a clean look. Today, I treasure them.

Intake would be installed during engine assembly; nipple on the assembly line along with hoses, belts, etc.

Boomer, plain and simple; information is held in order to not arm the mischievous. I for one appreciate that.

Very cool. I remember my first new car payment was 36 months @ $62. Those were the days!
Surprising that there wasn't a big discount considering it was a June 69 built car that apparently went unsold for eight months, and the 70 model was finally out.

From that angle it's hard to tell definitively, but it could very well be a match. The center cap does look larger though which might fill the gap to match the wheel in post 168 better. How weird to find those two pics of cars with that type wheel on the rear and what looks like black wheels on the front! It would not be as ironic if they were TT's or Cragar's.
