Personally, I wouldn't worry about making them perfect as they were far from that as OEM.

It used to be Armor All "Detailer's Advantage", spray bottle, my supply has lasted for years (so I haven't bought any in a long while). I've also used regular Armor All for the same purposes before. I was hesitant to use it on my top at first, installer recommended to apply to a soft cloth first and then lightly apply it to the top, I was satisfied with the result from the first use. Using it ever since -

Steve

Thanks, appreciate the follow-up.

You'd be surprised how a good soaking with clear Armor All will do - I've used is on everything from hoses to wiper blades, also even helps painted parts survive to bend another day. My convertible top installer had me put a coat on my Z11's top to protect it, still looks great after 25 years. I periodically use it on my air hoses and various electrical cords in the shop. Good stuff -

Regards,
Steve

Sounds like a very good tip. Can you clarify "clear Armor All"?

Very cool pic! I hope those kids are all still friends! Yes, the Camaro looks like Butternut Yellow with Gold interior, possibly Yellow.

As far as I know, cars were converted by an importer or local builder that specialized in such after overseas delivery.

That's a pretty cool photo! I agree on the 350 because of the seemingly SS items. It sure looks like it's new in the showroom!

So I got my NOS alternator mount bracket, took of the very brittle parts label, dropped it in Evaporust, and upon examining I found a bunny rabbit head stamped on the backside. Any ideas?

Yes, I think you need some rest. It totally looks like Sylvester.

No spoiler delete. More likely it was built before spoilers (RPO D80) were included with the 1969 Z/28 package. Prior to that they were optional for 68-69.

Yes, Beach City Chevrolet was located in Long Beach, CA.

I like the red stripe. The car looks great and I think it would look amazing with red interior!

Two problems I see with vinyl stripes, lettering, etc.:
1- Sometimes all of the glue doesn't release and leaves a messy condition requiring prep and paint.
2- Paint fade around the vinyl definitely requires repaint to balance. Mainly if the car is outside a lot; like shows, racing, etc.
