I think it's a repro.  Got a VIN? :)

As William would say.  It does not compare well with other 04C tags..

Caveat Emptor!

Originality / Wiper motor stamping
« on: April 23, 2024, 11:36:24 AM »
Started working on my wiper motor and washer pump and I noticed a stamp on it.

It looks like a Julian date 287 66 so that's Oct 14, 1966.

Were wiper motors stamped like this? Is an mid Oct too early for an 11B car?

$75k, looks like they've been smoking too much of the legal weed in Vegas.

Originality / Re: 1969 Camaro Z28 shifter knob or ball options

This seems like a good opportunity to clarify something.

The chrome knob did not use the lock nut as used on the Hurst T-handle. I regularly see a lock nut under the knob, even on cars going through judging.

I assume they didn't have/need one to square up a shift pattern since it was on the console?

Funny.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with not being able to get the top up. 😂

On blue cars that's never a problem!!  8)

Just a suggestion (WAG)
In our Electrical world polarity is sometimes designated by the Silver and Copper coloring.
Silver Neg, Copper Positive.

Remember the Radio Shack Clear vinyl speaker wire by the roll, we used to purchase in 1979!

I do not believe it is relevant in the case of an inline fuse-Breaker, as it should operate regardless of polarity or "Relative" polarity.

an Amp is an Amp when it comes to AC & DC current limiting circuit breakers.

Yeah, I am seeing both silver two post and silver/gold post repops and was just wondering what factory looked like.

FUSE- IN LINE.UPC C60 E8 (for 67') & possible other two years
Self resetting thermal "Circuit Breaker". with a corresponding Amp rating. #10 Wires Orange & Black.
Minor point of clarification.

As to the Color, referring to the Threaded posts?

Car is looking good Keep up the good work.

Yes, is one silver and one gold/bronze color?

You’re 180 out.

Thank you for the photo!! It also shows me the routing of the wires!

Is it possible to tell if one of the poles on the relay is gold?

Restoration / Correct orientation power top relay

Good day,

What is the correct orientation of the power top relay on the firewall.

Likewise, is the wiring and other info for the power top in the AIM?

edit -the relay is in the AIM under C06 and the connectors should be orientated to the drivers side.

My last question is, should the two poles both be silver or one silver and one gold?
