Fender extension marking

Has any one seen this before?
It appears to be a "3M" on the fender extension

That's the assembly sequence number, so that part meets up with the other parts for the same car with the same sequence number.

Some COPOs have 427 written there so the fenders would not be pierced for an emblem.
Learning more and more about less and less...

i wish i was computer savvy enough to print pics, but my 67 rs/ss has "R" inside the lower fender extensions. also the sequence number, along with RS inside the lower valance. email me and i can send them if anyone is interested.

That's a verification sticker for warranty glass adjustment claims.

Probably more common if the car hasnt been messed with much, My car still has it's tags on the doors. All cars had them.

My 69Z tank was marked with "63" in the same color paint pin, located on the same rib as firstgenaddict's, but toward the center of the rib.

My heater box also had a "63" red paint pin marking in the same location as that shown.

What did these markings indicate?
