Fender extension marking
« on: April 01, 2008, 05:12:26 AM »
Has any one seen this before?
It appears to be a "3M" on the fender extension

That's the assembly sequence number, so that part meets up with the other parts for the same car with the same sequence number.

Would the other fenders have the same markings?

Some COPOs have 427 written there so the fenders would not be pierced for an emblem.

Also on the Heater Box

That's a verification sticker for warranty glass adjustment claims.

Probably more common if the car hasnt been messed with much, My car still has it's tags on the doors. All cars had them.

Here is one from a COPO that I owned as Bill mentions. It was written up side down.

My 69Z tank was marked with "63" in the same color paint pin, located on the same rib as firstgenaddict's, but toward the center of the rib.

My heater box also had a "63" red paint pin marking in the same location as that shown.

What did these markings indicate?
