My apologies, Kurt is correct. Looking at 2 Z28's for a friend. Kurt if possible please correct the VIN in my previous post.
Doc.

I fixed it.

The black Z28 going to Greensboro is a nice car.  Not concourse perfect but does have nice paint and original engine and rear axle.  Black with red interior is very, very rare.  This car should break the bank.  Last fall, a driver LS6 with everything wrong including replacement trans and rear axle went for $135k there.

Many clients are telling me that investors and collectors are back in full force with collectable commodities with the new administration in the white house.

The Greensboro auction has been picking up steam too.

Get out the popcorn,

One of my customers is there on the regular sending me photos of paperwork asking me to verify cars

That is a killer color combo... it looks so nice.

This Z28 just hammered at $127k plus the 10%.  Not bad for a much smaller auction house.

126,000 and it looked like someone in house bought it.  That would be 8%, phone bidder was 10%.  They got 11% for online but pretty sure it was not online

That was not too bad of a deal for both the buyer and seller.

The car is pretty correct as far as finishes etc, I am not sure on pinch point bolts etc however when looking at it - only thing I can't see are the radiator rails - whether they are correct, I cant see the carb numbers etc.  Of course it's had style trim added - but it looks really good with it. And where you going to find a Black on Red 69 Z with it's original drive train?
all I can nit pick are a few finish issues -master cyl - paint the Arm washers and bolts -

Personally I would add and a full set of NOS ball joints and Tie rods - and find a mint original red interior or at least door panels and the car would be one of the nicer and more correct restorations.

FWIW When I look at what a car like this sells for I always look for what it would take to correct major items within the paint, stripes, then under car finishes on floors and rails which would take major disassembly to correct - this car really needs little so far as disassembly to correct.

It brings back some really good memories... I really want to take a M20 4.10 Z out and wind it to 6500 in 2nd.

It did not have the factory transmission which to me isnt as big as the engine but I did have a problem with the floors being replaced and no drain holes.  wonder what other sheet metal had been replaced?
It really needed the springs changed and I believe the wheels were repops.  Not major things but you hate to get a car that looks that nice on the outside and have to start changing stuff
