Glacier and as far back as anyone remembers its always been claimed to have been a Z.  I cant remember a year ago much less 20 plus years ago...  Previous owner replaced the blk deluxe with the current houndstooth before current owner purchased the car.  It more than likely had that tag on it previous to any of us (Mid TN clan) knew of the car.  Knowledge of the car goes back roughly 30 yrs.  For the record there was another 69 Z that was in Lebanon but it was a Dusk Blue and that owner at that time has now passed.

Andy, the drivers door is incorrect because it does to have the ribs on the end of the door for the blue VIN sticker that they started using for 69 Camaros delivered after August of 69. I think the ribs on the door started in July, but the earliest blue stickers were on 08E cars.
( I am still waiting to see any earlier examples....)

Well I learn something every day. I've known my drivers door wasn't original by the inside paint and its the only glass dated too late. Now I know what the ribs are for. I wish I had known oh about a few months ago before paint. Bummer, but glad I know. Thanks for the info!

Darrell,
In regards to reply #15, does this mean that the repo tag has been on this car for over thirty years?

I can not confirm that.  All I meant was the car has been known for roughly 30 years and was always said and appeared as a Z.  Although that doesn't mean much.  Regardless the trim tag is a huge red flag regardless what it was originally.
