I took a quick look at the 69 Z's on e-bay.  From what I saw there were 10 regular Z's and 1 RS for sale. This isn't scientific and can't say 100% there all original. But then again were all just speculating here anyway.

Bill posted this hightlighted line below in the other thread that is going on this topic.

The CRG db has just over 1400 Z/28s; 18.55% are also RS.

The is a decent size sample.  Not speculation.    :)

I doubt there are many people that have seen that many Z28s in a lifetiime.

Bryon, have two close friends that have non RS orig. z/28's. Since they do not spend time normally on this site and if I ask them can I vote for their cars with my votes? Or is it just for member owned cars?

Chick as long as they are 69s I think that is fine.

I have two local friends and my Brother that have 6 "real deal" 69 Z's between them. Two are factory RS Z/28's and the other four are not. One of the RS Z's is a Daytona Yellow with yellow houndstooth deluxe interior (POP, numbers car that has been in the area since new) and the other is an Azure Turquoise with white houndstooth deluxe interior, JM certified.
I have already added my non RS Z car to the poll.

Len, are any of those two friends or your brother members on the site?  It would help if at least one was.  You can put in up to 5,  but since you already voted once, that would limit you to 4 more.  One way or the other we will get it figured out.

Bryon, no, unfortunately they are not members. I've know the guys and their cars for many years and know the cars are validated. I thought I would just mention them in case you wanted to include them. If not I understand. I don't want to confuse things.

How about we keep those as a side note, and after a few more weeks we will look at the numbers then?  At that point, we will add those into the totals.

There haven't been any posts for a while but the latest results were 23 1969 Z28s without the RS option and 17 with the RS option.  :)

Wow, that's close to even.   I'm glad this popped back up, I lost track of it.  I went back and re-read the posts.  One of your posts Bryon caught my attention.   I'm surprised that out of 20,302 Z28's produced in just 69 alone that you only have 1400 in the registry.  I would have guessed that number to be much higher.

I also have been wondering, could it be that possibly RS cars are more likely to be saved by collectors as to the reason why we have almost an even number split in the polls between RS and non RS?  That might skew the numbers a bit.

I hadn't seen this poll until now, so I voted... I previously owned another Z28 (non-RS) so maybe it should be counted, as well?

I would say YES it would be OK to vote again in your case.

Thanks!

Missed this poll the first time around so just "voted" and added my Z/28 w/RS equipment, factory installed to the tally.   Documented on the  chassis broadcast copy as RS equipped.

Oops! Byron, I just assumed that was OK when I originally voted back in May 2015.

I wasn't able to cast another "vote", maybe because it's one vote per member (or login). No biggie
