I think 697 total Pontiac Trans Ams in 1969. 689 coupes and 8 convertibles.
Most coupes were Ram Air HO. 55 coupes and all 8 convertibles had Ram Air IV.
Getting a little off topic though.
Just correcting the record. None of the 8 convertibles were RAIV's they were all RAIII . There were 55 RAIV coupes 46 manual and 6 automatic built.
I will check my sources again. Notice when I posted I said "I think".
For the record in your post 46 + 6 = 52.

You were correct. Thanks for the post. None of the convertibles were Ram Air IV. Sorry about that.
Looks like for the Ram Air IV coupes, there were 46 with manual transmission and
9 with an automatic transmission. That's 55.

Steve did not want to hijack the thread but did want to add this info.
All Trans-am were equipped with the special code 611 Ram Air package. With that being the case the engine options were either RA III or RA IV. Basically the 400HO + Ram Air package 611= RA III.
