The dealer was Evans Chevrolet Inc. Bluefield W Va..I check on the web and found nothing on them. So, I'm assuming they are out of business or has been sold..I was told by a couple of people that had previously owned the car that it was sold new in NC.   I went by the DMV today and picked up the form to do a complete title search to see where it was sold and to whom.

I got my letter today, as well. The official production date of my car was 2/28/1969..Three days later than the block stamping...Thanks Roy for providing this information. I will now do a NC title search to see where it was first titled and sold within NC...

Restoration / Re: Fan shroud

Not trying to Hi Jack your post, but I have a questions regarding your fan shroud. What plating if any is supposed to be on the center bolt for a 69 shroud ...Plated or non-plated. I have been told both, but still not sure which one is the  factory correct  finish.

Thanks Chick.  Hedrick's did not bid on this one, he was offering along with GM. It was for  J. Gordon's charity "Drive to End Hunger"...

I was watching the Palm Beach BJ auction today (not sure if this was a rerun or not) and saw where GM and Mr. Hendrick's auctioned off the first new production Z/28 # 001 (if I understood them correctly) and it went for $500K. How will this person ever get his money back out of this car.   ??? ??? ???

Risnor, I have been following this subject and submitted and applications as well. This has to be a labor of love to dig and research through all these files in order to help others find out information about their car(s).  This is a great service you and your team are providing.

I would like to thank you and your team for researching this information and sending out the information to the Camaro owners here on CRG.  To date, with the more than 600 plus application that you have received, how many actual certificates have been processed, including those that were refunded due to not being in the archive files.

Original Cars and Details / Re: Amazing 69 Z/28 Survivor

Chick, I noticed that this car had the left side motor restraint cable assembly installed. You see them on some cars, but not all...I guess these were some of the first things to be removed when they got in the way.

Vonroll, great detail work on finding a highway curb to match and blend into the color of your car. You don't see highway curbs painted that color in NC.

Welcome to the site...I have learned a lot about first gen Camaro's from this site so that I'm at least educated enough to tell when someone tells me what they think they know, that they really don't know, or to be able to determine if its correct or not.  If I'm stumped, or feel its total BS but want to know, I know I can get the correct answers from CRG. A great site with a lot of wisdom and GM knowledge...
