General Discussion / 68 rsss l35 wheels?
« on: July 17, 2017, 01:59:23 AM »
i have a 3rd week march 68 rs ssl35 with power drum brakes iwas thinking xn would be the correct wheel but meet a guy at the auto fair in charlotte that said xns were late 68 early 69 wheel.
my car had 3 fws and one xn when i bought it trying to go with the correct wheels.

thanks any help i can get is good help

if anybody can get in touch with these guys that posted on other sites please give them my phone number 704 450 5697 as i would like to reunite this block that is still std bore with gm cam bearings back to the original car.thanks

i don't think brad the previous owner in 98 knows a lot I just posted what he said to me about the car.
I texted him the same pics of the block and he still says the car wasn't a z28 and for me to wake up.but like I said to him what are the odds he had year, make and model and vin car and I have a year make and model and vin block from the same city and town and it not be the same car.looks like factory GM stampings to me but I'm no expert either

vin 124378N473229 was last registered to a brad miller in raleigh nc in 1998 .talked with brad and he said he sold it to a jason friebus  but didnt believe the car to be a z28 he said it was a british green 327 3 speed but without this block he wouldnt know.the block and car came from raleigh nc.brad did say he purchased the car from the original owner

take a bunch of pics and go around to shops then they could give you a ball park figure, but dont limit yourself to just the cheapest price ask former customers and look at the work being done .its better to pay a little more for it done right than it will have someone else fix their mistakes.i went to alot of car shows and asked about my local paint shop and i never heard a bad word said so that guy has been my painter for 5yrs now and has painted 6 cars for me so far this kind of work needs some investigating before commitment.
