Paul - Thanks for posting this tag. First time I have ever seen a 3 dash special paint designation. Evidently it was only used in 68 by LOS/Fisher... Very cool!

Ed, it appears to have been a coupe.  Not much left now.  Too bad as it appears to have been painted a "hugger orange" color as seen on the cowl and other oversprayed areas.

Paul, 6 cylinder (12337) or V8 (12437)?

And what are you talking about? A little bondo and she'll be as good as new!!

Ed - I think the 12437 on the Cowl-T corresponds with the VIN? If so it's a V8, or should I say, was...

Duh Paul!  68-12437 on the cowl tag tells you it was a coupe...   :-[

Well Ed, going by the motor mount brackets and the accelerator pedal linkage, I'm going with V8.  What do you think?

Marty, that's '67 only.  Read this...  http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#VINvsStyle

Looks like it has disc brakes.

Yes it does.  Everything is still there too!

There appears to be another subframe in the background.
It looks like a good project to me, but my wife doesn't think so :(.
Could you find any original paint on the bottom side of the A-post areas?

That's my guess as well, but I figured if you had the full VIN you could confirm.

Not much left, but original disc brakes are worth $100 or so. The front sub frame another $100 or so.

I also see another sub frame, and a rear axle behind it. What's the code on the axle?

Is this a wrecking yard? The early model Corvair looks like it's a convertible, so there may be some parts on it the EM (Early Model) guys might be interested in.

My mistake, I was going off my own Cowl & VIN, both of which have 12437.
