I want to build a rotissere for my car

Does anyone have any plans or drawings on how to build a budget rotissere set up for restoration. I was thinking of using two engine stands and securing them together with a bar at the bottom. Would this work?

I don't see why not, that is what the rotisseries from Auto Twirler look like:  http://www.autotwirler.com/store/index.php?main_page=index

I've seen people use engine stands, but you'll have to get them higher off the ground to flip the car. Engine stands will be about 18-24" too short. The Auto Twirler and similar rotisseries are also made from heavier steel than a typical stand. I did all my work on a homemade dolly (made of 4x6 lumber!), then lifted the car on stands to about 40" to paint the underside. The dolly cost me about $80 to build.
