Anyone know what application "HO" front coil springs are for???  I just removed my front springs on my 69 BB and the tag appears to be "HO".  Any idea???

DT,

Any chance the tags are "HG"?

I looked hard again and think they are actually "HQ". GM# 3955724.  Having a tough time finding info on this # 3955724 with "HQ" tags.  Would love to match the spring rate and ride height.

"HQ"'s were used on ZL-1's. I actually have a set that I took off the front of my car during the resto.

I believe the "HQ" was also used on SS396 with 325hp or 350hp.  I wish someone knew of a very close replacement.  Moog 638 and 6312 are not really close as far as the spring rates go.  I read the "HQ" springs are 1830 lbs (LOAD) and 345 lbs/inch (RATE).

Possibly they were used there as well but who knows.

I have a single fuel line so I doubt my car was one of those. Too early for ZL-1, not on the list, DG3 on the rear seat bulkhead.  Original chabered exhaust car. Hard to say what it was originally with any certainty. The possibilities are mind boggling. I had to just believe the DG-3 crayon mark and run with it. I will keep the car and the springs indefinately just in case better info comes along some day.

Its also strange that the "HQ" springs are NOT listed on the Camaro spring charts???  Can anyone elaborate on this ???
