If it's a clone, why does it matter?  It's incorrect to begin with.

Thanks for the input. But I would like to know for myself. Even if it is a Clone I would like it to be correctly marked. I cant buy a Real COPO so Ive built One for myself.

You touched on a sore spot.   Most feel that a clone or tribute as they are now called are in some cases built to deceive the next owner.  But do your own thing, enjoy it and be honest about it.  #'s don't llie

Thanks, I understand. I have owned many Number matching cars and I know people who would deceive others, but I have saved this Plain Jane from a terrible fate (Crushed) And it deserved to live life as Bad A** Big Block Camaro. So we can enjoy each other.  Thanks

Here are the DS marks from a 04C 69 Camaro COPO. From L to R they are "Purple/Brown/Orange", and about 17" aft of the front U jount centerline.
Have fun with the car.

I'm curious ... what the drive shaft markings mean?  I guess I'm not familiar with them.
Thanks in advance.

That is a good question, I am not sure that all is known about drive shaft markings, in general. Meaning all GM cars. Not just Camaro's.
Most likley had to do with the installation application, and/or ballance ??

Kurt.. have any of you CRG guys ever seen a pattern to the Colors ?

The colors identified the application (length, type of U-joints and yokes, etc.) both for the manufacturing plant and for the assembly plant; the colored stripes replaced the stenciled-on part number that Chevy used in the 50's and very early 60's.
