Can anybody help me with picture of how to install an original fold down rear seat in a 1967 Camaro. My friend bought a pristine original seat. We are trying to figure what we need and how to install on his convertible that did not originally come with this option.

Please do a search here. There have been posts with diagrams.  Like this one: http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=19717.msg179353#msg179353

But basically the upper part of the seat attaches to a pair of hinge supports that are welded to the floor.  Hope you got those.  There should also be a track welded to the seat support to hold a "cardboard" panel that hides the support when the back is down.  67 latch only needs to be attahed with screws.

Here's an example of the floor brackets and partition panel channel that you'll need to weld in.  All the parts places probably sell them.

If there are brackets for securing your original upper seat back to the trunk divider panel, those would need removed. 67s had a simpler latch mechanism than 68-69s. The flat partition panel for a 67 convertible is specific. I can't recall but there might be dimples in factory sheet metal for the top trim screws for that panel.

Thank you! I have all the correct parts and brackets. Pictures made it easy to understand!

I installed a fold down rear seat in my 69 SS coupe.  I used all the information I could find on this site and on Firebird forums.  My suggestion is to us as much GM parts as possible - including the brackets that get attached to the floor - if not I guess repro will have to do.  There is a difference between the 67 vs. 68/69 units.  There is a hand-drawn map somewhere on this site that has all the measurements you'll need - they were spot on.
Measure three times before you do anything and good luck.
