Undercoating inside of the doors

Was the undercoating inside of the doors applied after painting /priming ? There shouldnt be any type of overspray on it ?Thanks

I've never heard of undercoating put on the bottom of the doors but that's not to say it didn't happen.

Maybe you can glean some info from the assembly process report.

Based my 1967 Build Model year 1968 Coupe (LOS)  the Interior cavity (LH) (RH) Door sound deadener was applied AFTER Body color was applied to the door including edge application and "overspray"

When Roger took this car apart he took photos of the door laying on the ground and you can see Clean 'undercoating' thru the door interior access holes.

Every car I've had, including customer cars and extra untouched spare doors have heavy undercoating after paint on the backsides of doorskins. Pics later as time allows.

That is helpful. I've never seen heavy body color on undercoating inside the door. If John said it did then I'll go by that. And by the doors I have for car I'm doing now, it makes sense. I suppose being asphalt based the paint did not adhere forever. Many times when I have to do hammer and dolly work on doors the undercoating(evidence) needs to be removed to do it properly.
