these terms are used all the time, what options and/or quantity of options makes a car well/highly optioned?
would my Canadian SS with L78, M20, 410 ,AM/FM and rear defogger be considered well optioned or highly optioned or low optioned?

Highly option usually refers to a car with just alot of options attached to it, where a well optioned car has the best options and usually color combo that makes it more desirable for value. Your car I would say is well optioned over highly optioned.

AC, power windows, power top, fold down rear seat, 4 speed, RS are well and highly options.

thanks for replies, if my car had a deluxe interior would feel more 'well optioned'. Original owner told me salesmen threw into the deal the rear defogger, to bad it wasn't the deluxe interior or swap out AM/FM for RS package.

Here is my former L-78 RS / SS that Jerry M. thought had a fair amount of options. custom interior, bumper guards, console gagues, 7 k  tach. tilt wheel, power steering.

Vince I was just thinking about your old car last week.  I have not ran across it anymore.  I would have gave it a good home but just didnt work out.

Its one of the few I have seen with trim rings on the dog dish hub caps also

Guys I appreciate the car more now, then the 20 years I owned it. It's one of those... You don't know what you had until it's gone. I'm hoping the present day owner restores it to the highest level and we see it at the shows. Vince

Count up the number of options. The more options the more highly optioned.
Well optioned is subjective. It's not highly optioned or a stripper (no offense to anyone working at the Doll House; et al.).
I think the type of car needs to be considered as well. A performance car with a lot of options would be highly optioned, but with just the options that make the car right for competition would be well optioned.

Jim, I like your girlfriend/wife analogy.

Here's the window sticker from my "very-highly-optioned" '68 Rally Sport Coupe, which left the factory with a 230 CID base six cylinder ( so, not high performance LOL )

driver88 - Nice 1968 Camaro.  I imagine it is a great car to drive on a hot day!

Yes, I've had it for a year and never drove it with the windows DOWN ( 80* today, here in Tuscaloosa ) It wouldn't be that "cool" without the new style compressor - the other cars I've had with the original style compressors ( even rebuilt ) just don't put out the air like the new ones do.

I remember when someone commented that my 1970 Mustang didn't have power windows.  I laughed and told them it doesn't even have power steering!
