Does the rear proportioning valve that is under the drivers door follow the same dating convention as everything else?
In other words, would this valve be dated a month or so prior to the build date?
Wondering, because these valves weren't used on every Camaro produced, therefore they weren't produced in the same quantities as alternators, water pumps, etc.
So it would seem that you could have a valve dated a few months prior to being installed on a car, therefore the question arises?  Is it original to the car?
Maybe they were all blank, then date stamped before installation?

In other words, you'd have an 04A car with a valve dated 072-0.

Possible?  Inquirng minds need to know!!!!

Interesting - almost 2-1/2 months difference.

Most are dated pretty close to the car.
At least 2 of the cars listed were in the extended model year and they were using up old material.

With all due respect, then it's possible that a 06A car could have a 027-9 valve?

Intersting results.
Looks like we may have stumbled onto something out of the ordinary in terms of conventional date coding / car build on this particular part.
Hopefully we can get Jerry to chime in.

Then is it possible that a 06A car could have a 027-9 valve?  Being such a late build car?
Thanks
