I am looking at 69 Z/28, not the original engine, no protect o plate, no dealer documentation and no owner history, just an X33 Cowl Tag.
I would appreciate opinions on the originality of the Cowl Tag since "for entertainment" tags are so prevalent.

It has been for sale on line. Tag is real and undisturbed. May be an ok driver. Many missing and incorrect parts. The puttied-up intake indicates poor workmanship.

While you are considering it, bear in mind that some day you will want/need to move it. The non-OE engine, unpopular color, no spoilers, and no paperwork will be your issues to deal with.

Unpopular color? according to this website they made 11.4% of all '69 Camaros in that color second only to Lemans Blue(12%), it sure was popular in the day! I do think most Frost Green cars have been repainted in Hugger Orange or black.

I assume the X33 car in this thread would have black stripes to coordinate with 711 interior.  IMO when Frost Green is done right, it is a sharp color.  BTW is this car RS or Style Trim optioned?  Not sure if the OP alias is tied directly to the car or not, lol.

Usually the interior color has nothing to do with the stripe color...Joe

So the stripes would be white?  I haven't looked through the recommended combinations in quite a while...  But after referring to the CRG chart for '69 & no vinyl top, it lists "59  Frost Green       B "  for black stripes as standard combination.  Am I missing something?

It was NOT popular on Z/28s; about 3% of the Z/28s in the db. Fathom Green, Le Mans Blue, Hugger Orange are around 13% each.

The 59B indicates a black vinyl top. With this color it was black stripes with no vinyl, black stripes with black vinyl top, white stripes with parchment top...Joe

There were *3* triple green 69's at the local car show - what's the odds?? All 3 were 59-S (frost green with green top) with green interior.
And not one of them had a stitch of green anywhere, in or out.
