quarter panel replacement

I'm replacing the quarters on my 68 convertible. I'm going to do some additional blasting in the trunk area.  it seems to be no kind of coating on the inner structure. what do you guys recommend to spray in these area's...not even seen, but want to be as close to original as possible?

In my opinion I'd use epoxy primer. Others might have a better suggestion but on my vert I have no rust at all from a Kansas car

Epoxy primer on the bare metal, then coat that with whatever is necessary to appear as original...

It's just light surface rust.  Red oxide, or black  want it to look as factory

C'mon guys. I've been searching all of CRG, for what primer/color should be painted around the under rear package tray/inner structure for a convertible. bcmiller's Green L78 shows exactly what I'm looking for!  Quarters on going on this weekend!!

The inner structure, or skeleton, only got overspray from priming and topcoating. That is why when you tear these cars apart, the inner structure can have varying degrees of surface rust and/or clean bare metal. Read this: http://www.camaros.org/assemblyprocess.shtml I use black epoxy after blasting when replacing sheetmetal. Not sure what brand convertible quarters you are using, but I've rejected some because they were poorly stamped.
