The error makes it easy; however it was previously on ebay. Was X22 but 65 B 712 colors/trim at that time.

Not smart.

I like (not!) they way the TT was "aged"

I'm new to searching for a Camaro to purchase and came across this one.  Can you tell me more about the error?

They never discuss the errors. Best is to post a tag for them to review...Joe

I'm a newbie, and I'm really trying to learn here.  It's marked as X44, but that's a base model, so it's not an original SS.  Am I getting warm?

I'm like blues, learning and think I see the mistake on the eBay cowl tag but confused by comment it's marked as X44? Cowl tag is marked with X22D80.
Googled the vin - car is listed for sale on a couple other sites with same pics except cowl tag pic omitted so it would seem seller is aware.

mytwoblues

Sabino, will you tell me what mistake you are seeing?  My problem with this car is we've checked the VIN through multiple DMV sites and no records of this car are turning up.

sabino56

Oops, what I thought was the error evaporated when I reread the information on this site. I've been sent back a grade and back in beginners class, still trying to figure it out.  Sorry.

FWIW, the tag would be an obvious repro even if it didn't have the error. Certain body tag characteristics are not on the site for that reason.

How much value should this car lose by having a repo tag? I am assuming that it puts the whole car in question. Or is it not a big deal?

Too many variables to answer. Some people could care less. Some people care a lot.

Changing an original X22 from Olympic Gold with black custom interior to Garnet Red with black houndstooth interior may not be such a big deal as say changing a base V8 model to a Z28, but in my opinion, putting a fake trim tag on a car, no matter WHAT the reason, makes the car worthless.

I do agree... when you change trim tags to match color ...it makes me question the whole car or wonder if the car was rebodied...or what else has been faked and why has it.

Kelley W King

Probably would have sold better Olympic Gold, just my 2 cents
