A lot of money for a car that's not very nice underneath. Looks like transmission is leaking, paints coming off floor and other things. Geez

They say 69 correctly dated block, (0811 DZ I assume), guess they got lucky finding one right before the car was built.(8/15)
Other than them saying it is correctly dated, what else tipped you off William?
I am with you on the fake tag, and the way the rest of the car was put together. (wrong drivers side door)

Ok I think I finally figured out the fake tags, I can find the differences now. What's wrong with the door and the trunk? I'm trying to learn the larger picture pieces and not just the small stuff.

Thanks - Andy

Also if you still have your original lid please add the info to that thread so I can add it to the spreadsheet.  Thanks.

I had info on it back to 2002; had an April engine at that time.

Is that a 67 style oil canister/element painted white that I'm seeing?  Must be a really early 69 block.

No, it's a K&N oil filter. Their filters are designed so you can use a socket to unscrew them.

Andy, the drivers door is incorrect because it does to have the ribs on the end of the door for the blue VIN sticker that they started using for 69 Camaros delivered after August of 69. I think the ribs on the door started in July, but the earliest blue stickers were on 08E cars.
( I am still waiting to see any earlier examples....)

Ok...  After a little digging I know this car..  It has actually been at my parents house back over 20 years ago..  FYI he (my father) did not do anything to the car.  It was a guy that was trying to resolve a vibration problem and heard about my father being a Camaro guy.  Btw that was not the current owner.  It was the previous owner before current.  Current owner is known also.

So what did this car start out as?what color?  I am guessing not a Z?
