Currently I have no lables.  Always thought 67's  did not use them.

My GMOC paperwork reads: V48 Anti freeze - increased protection
so maybe there should be something. ???
I would be currious to find out.

Has anyone other than me seen a red sticker on the core support of a cross ram 69 Z that reads THIS VEHICLE NOT INTENDED FOR HIGHWAY USE--OFF ROAD ONLY.  ??      Thanks

Mark

Probably not, since the crossram didn't come from the factory, and the dealers would not have been required to install such a label if they did the installation.

Thanks Mark, But back in 69/70 I was 21 yrs old .  I did not need glasses to read. (ha ha) It was put on at the factory and it was red and that is what it said.

Sorry, that label was never factory installed because that manifold was never factory installed.

Nor was it included, referenced, or shown in the illustrations, instruction sheets, or parts list that came with the over-the-counter cross-ram package; there was no such label unless someone created one "for effect".  ::)

Can anyone add any input on AC equipped cars which have a rubber seal on top of the core support.  Does the emission sticker stay under the seal or does the sticker move to the fan shroud?

Thanks

Mike,
I'd say on the shroud.  In the 68 AIM when you look at C60/B3, which shows the seal, it would have covered the sticker.  Ed could verify this one for you.

There's nothing mentioned in the AIM, but I went and looked at the cars in the database and found several with the sticker on the shroud.

Here's a good example of a semi-original car (aftermarket intake, but fairly stock other than that). Note the radiator seal still attached to the support and the placement of the sticker.

Thanks Bert that is exactly what I was looking for.  I was curious how the core support seal went over the fender brace as well.  Excellent picture, I appreciate your response!!!

68rs327conv, I'm going to take the AC sealing question to a new thread here in restoration.
Also, look here: http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=1171.0;all
Ed posted a good picture of the seal going over the brace in that thread.

Ed, are there any more pictures --especially ones that show other seals involved with AC sealing?
