Title: DF wheels
Post by: L78 steve on August 06, 2014, 09:28:09 PM
Is it possible to have DF rally wheels without date codes?

Check in the area where the tire would cover. All mine are stamped 12 67 in that area.....Joe

04D car, all 5 wheels stamped. Looks like the above link answered it.

Are these worth a trade for a set of YH wheels? Or can they be used in place of YH's untill I find a set for my 69?

There are a lot fewer DF's out there than YH's. The 15 X 6 DF wheel is nearly indistinguishable from the YH 15 X 7, unless you note the narrower trim ring, plus the derbys stick out a little farther due to the flatter offset.

Trade value should be about equal, depending on the need - some think both are made from platinum scrap. You can find desperate people in either year -

There are 5 of them all unstamped. I still have to spin them on a balancer to see if all are true.
