I did not want to hijack John's thread. So, here, I offer the following.  Enjoy.

I see that my car was the 24th built (City Chev-Olds).  Mo Carter took this car on the Shell 4000 Cross Canada Rally early in 67 (20th o/a) before building it into a road racer for club racing in Ontario. I can remember him battling Bill Brack's famous mini at Mosport.

Do we know how many of those cars on the list went road racing?

Steve, thanks for posting that list. I just hadn't gotten around to it.

I was sorting my F/5000 data & found it buried there.  It seemed like an appropriate time to post it & start a new set of files.

Nickey has 3 cars on that list.
Did Nickey Chev have a Z/28 race car?
I don't recall seeing any with Nickey sponsorship and have read that Nickey cut way back on racing in 1967.

Joe,

None of the Nickey Z-28s has been located so far. There has been some conflicting info as to whether Bill Thomas got any of them to prepare before the rug was pulled out from under the Nickey racing effort in '67. I will try and put together a more detailed report on these historical "first 25" when time allows as I think people would enjoy that.

Car build #17, the Henrich Chevrolet car, went road racing...that I can vouch for. Although I'm new to this forum, Gary Morgan, an old friend of mine and driver of that particular car, recently directed me to this discussion forum. I saw Gary race the car a couple of times in the 1967-68 time frame, at Watkins Glen.

Welcome to the forum. You can find a write-up on Gary and his car if you click here.

Regarding chassis 5, 6, & 7 that were shipped to Alan Green Chevrolet.  Any idea which one became their TA entry?

At this time, I'm not able to figure out which one of those three became the one driven by Gary Gove and Jerry Grant in the '67 Trans-Am series. Hopefully, through more research, that information can get determined.

Thanks Jon.  Here's another one for you.  We know where one of the cars went, any idea what happened to the third chassis?

Cheers!

Steve, it's a little complicated as there are four or five possible cars, not just three, so I am always trying to seek new information that will ultimately fill in all the details.

Update: One of the Nickey Z-28s has been found in the last year. It is a red standard grille car with black interior. It was not a road race car but may have been drag raced a little.

Through a lot of research, the list is not organized by VIN. The big-name dealership cars with multiple orders are lumped together even if the VINs from other Z-28s are between them. Chevrolet built 16 Z-28s in the initial batch and then waited two weeks before building the others Z's on this list.
