Did Chevorlet build distributors in batchs. I was wondering what dates would work for a early September 1969 z28.

Three dates come to mind on a BD like that.  9D2, 9E13, and 9H12.  That's what I'd look for.

My 09C Z28/RS original 1111480 distributor has an 9E16 date code.......
