68 coil bracket w/ cowl plenum
« on: September 24, 2011, 11:01:57 PM »
Hi all, is there any special coil bracket required for the cowl plenum option on a 1968 302? My coil seems to be interfering with the air cleaner. Thanks, Tony

I'm not aware of any difference in the coil bracket from std. air cleaner to cowl plenum. Just curious if your coil is bottomed out in the bracket? Assume your interference is bottom of cleaner base to coil wire/coil?

Hmm, not sure if the coil is bottomed out or not. I'll check. Thanks!

Isn't the bracket slanted more for the cowl air cleaner than the open element?  It is for the '69 model.
