Old pictures of the 1969 Z/28 I owned in the late '70's
« on: September 27, 2010, 04:39:47 PM »
My vin was 124379N504656
Bought it in 1975, sold 1977. The grill was already black when I bought it. If not original, very good paint on the grill.

Do you remember what you bought/sold it for?

Funny, I just removed two of those Parnelli Jones Firestones from my car.

I reallly, really, really, wish I had it back. I bought it for $1,600 and sold it for $1,800, shrewd.... who knew? This car was very stock, no hot rodding that I can remember except for headers. I used to carry a wrench in the console that fit the header bolts and quite frequently drive with them open. Really loud.

Yes, I have been told many times the cowl was added. They did a great job though. All the parts were there because it always worked!
Looks like it had the long spoiler too. Not sure if it was too early for that to be original.

Yes, the car was too  early (9N504656) for the long 69 spoiler too.

Nice.  It's great to see vintage photos.  After seeing this, I'm going to post a few of my 68.

Here's my "first" car ever, bought in 1973 for $1200.00.
I put "Yellow Shag" carpeting in it to complete the look!
Would love to know if it still exists.
It was bought from a guy in Elmwood Park, Illinois.

This is the only pic my dad has of our car. It was taken in June 1969. He took delivery of it in Feb. We're almost done with its restoration.
