Stiney, it boggels the mind why you would even want to sell this car.  As you and others have mentioned, this is a time capsule w/good docs.  For Gods sakes at least put a reserve on the car...my 2 cents.

Stiney... second thought, I don't think you need my advise at all.  Seems you've been selling on ebay for quite some time...

If I was selling this car the second set of pictures would be posted on eBay.

I don't really want to sell it, but I also don't want to be one of those hoarders who everyone hates cause their stuff just sits and rots, rather than being enjoyed.

I have more projects now than I'll ever have time to finish.  Plus wife & kids..... would rather spend time with my boys before they would rather not spend time with dad.....

Personally, I see reserve auctions as people getting free appraisals on their stuff.   My thoughts are that something is only worth what someone will actually pay for it, market determines value.   I could be wrong, have been before (ask wife, she'll tell you!)

I'll look for that axle code, thanks for the directions.

Good point on the pictures.  I'm still ticked that there is a limit to 22 pictures, unless you are a subscribed ebay seller or whatever they call it now.  Ebay used to be cool and useful, they've lost a lot if you ask me.   I'll try to switch pictures, maybe they'll let me do that.

Got the pulley checked out for you.  Tried a picture, I just can't get anything worthwhile though.   Beats me how guys take those awesome closeup pictures!

Here's the pulley code  info :  3905995  CF

And I found the axle code too.  PA  0502G1

Most digital cameras have a close up, or macro mode. The symbol used for it on mine is a flower.

Same on mine. I think the flower symbol is fairly universal for macro.
I've also found with my phone camera, that there are many situations were I get better results with the flash turned off.

Old thread I know, but check out this EBAY LINK. Interesting how an LF7 with a Powerglide has now magically turned into a numbers matching Z28!! (I know, the seller doesn't specifically say "numbers matching", but with the pictures he included that's certainly what he's implying.)

Seller is vinnie2010john out of Pataskala, Ohio and apparently it's not that hard to change an ME code to an MO. (Look carefully at the O and you'll see the E under it.)

No, I don't believe so. I think STINEY sold the car in 2010 per the ebay auction in replies 22 and 23 above.

Thanks Paul, but it's not so hard anymore. With the internet, car histories are fairly transparent. Google and Yahoo searches turn up a lot of stuff!

I guess the sad reality is that if it costs the same to fake a Z28 as it does to restore a base V8 RS the only question is...which will bring more money when sold? Looks like the fakes are winning.

I think STINEY sold it a while back when he had it on ebay...as Ed mentioned while I was typing.
