Subframe-welding?!?
« on: January 17, 2009, 09:54:26 PM »
Hi
I have recently sandblasted my subframe, and I discovered that thay must have had blind welders or kids on this workingskift,
or maybe it was early monday morning after a great party.
Is there any more with same experience?
What is your opinion about this?
I don't know if I can put this together like this.
Could be interesting to hear if there is any more with same experience.

Very common in those days - frame welding was done manually, and quality varied widely.

I've seen them good and bad. Inconsistent beads, holes, excessive spatter. One horn perfect, the other atrocious. Novas too obviously.
