throttle and kickdown linkage question on L-48
« on: August 06, 2008, 03:52:52 PM »
Hello All,

I posted in the restoration area but don't think there is as much traffic as here.  I need to know two things:

1) which of the three holes (at he top of the carb linkage) in the photo below is correct for "sticking" the throttle linkage through?  I can't seem to tell from the AIM

2) is the bolt/tab correct for the kick-down linkage on a TH350?  Is it in the correct location?

Thanks

good question, I am pretty sure its the front-most one.  The way to tell is take linkage off put pedal to the floor, carb is wide open, see where the best lineup is.  The upper holes give the best throttle reponse because of the larger arc.

Thanks for the response Kevin.

A follow up question would be whether the stud on the threaded throttle linkage goes in from the outside or from the inside.  Anyone?

Outside. Do you have the correct stud with the retaining clip?
