Clutch Fan or not? ('68 396 non-AC) and ('67 327/275 W/AC)
« on: December 20, 2006, 02:12:30 PM »
  TWO different applications:

For a '68 Camaro (396), ...non AC?
...My belief is that a clutch fan was optional, ...but I'm not 100% sure.

For a '67 327/275 WITH AC?
...Here I believe it was standard because of AC, ...again, ...not 100% sure.

For BOTH, ...would this be the FAN used?
(While it's here, ...does anyone know what make/style this fan CLUTCH is? ...I know it's '67/'68 vintage because it's dated 6 21 67 SC. I have it up on ebay and have been asked, ...but not really sure)

Thanks in advance for any information,

           Kevin

That's a Schwitzer fan clutch - it was used interchangeably with the Eaton clutch (which had the "coil" thermostatic element on the front); either style is correct. The "SC" stamped after the date is for "Schwitzer Corp."
