9 months ago I started this mini preservation project and yesterday the car saw the light of day for the first time since..  Granted it is far from finished but I have to call it complete for now until I get a few other projects finished.  So with that I will say take care and thanks for reading and watching.  If anyone needs to reach me they can email me at cook_dw@hotmail.com  Later, Darrell

Thanks guys.  As for the plans I have no plans for the Z at this time..  Too many other things need to happen first.  Itll be there when I am ready.

Rear brakes were rebuilt over the weekend and noticed a couple markings.  After derusting the parts hadnt noticed it before but you can see that the adjuster plate is hardened on the adjuster side.

Also looks like the passenger side adjuster is gold dichromate or cad and the driver side is a blue plating.

Thanks.  I need to get a couple shots of the brakes installed after derusting etc.  BTW Evaporust in a crockpot is the cats meow..  I have the original wheel cylinders in boxes ready to be sent off for rebuilding as I was unable to remove the bleeders even with the left handed drill bits.  Plus they have some pitting in the bores..

Passenger side.  Also finished up the entire brake system tonight with bleeding of the system.  Previously I had rebuilt the metering valve with the rebuild kit from MCR.  First attempt fluid was pouring out of the back of the valve..  I thought great..  Pulled it off tore it apart looked at the orientation of the seal thinking I'd screwed that up..  Nope put it back on and still blowing fluid out the back..  Got to reading the MCR rebuild article online and noticed it said make sure the pocket that the seal sits in is extremely clean.  Sooo, back off and torn down and got out the pick and it had a small little piece of rust down in the crevice and threw it back together and back on the car and bingo..  No more leaking and a very firm pedal..
