Not the cowl to hood seal on a camaro... the one for a GTO or Chevelle. It is very different.
Maybe the cowl to hood seal on a second gen Camaro... if you can take a picture of the cross section with a ruler showing the width and height that would be very helpful.

1968 Nova's and Camaro's used the same seal, P/N 3937126, with a note to "Cut as required" on the Nova. No listing of ANY seals for 67 and no listing for the Radiator Support seal for 69, although there are other seals listed for "68 and 69".

I looked in the Price and Accessories Schedule, and P/N 3937126 was only used on Chevrolet cars. What's really interesting is that the 68 A.I.M. has a note (#10) for the seal to "Remove backing for installation", indicating that the seal used double sided tape to apply to the support.

Someone will have to take a look at the 67 A.I.M. to see what (if any) parts were used, and the 69 A.I.M. to see if the P/N is the same as the 68.

That helps!  I have original factory air on my 68, but no seal... and no holes for clips.

I checked my 67 AIM, C60 section... no mention of the rad. support seal

Phil; the '68  GM seal part #s are #3937126 for the top of the radiator support, #3937127/3937128 for the L&R top of the radiator, #3937131 for the bottom of the radiator, and #3937188 for the side seals. The top radiator support and radiator seals had a self-adhesive backing. The side seals used wire staples GM#9985029 identical to the A-frame fenderwell shields. Dunno about a '69, but the '68s used no clips. There were also LH and RH baffles, GM #3937129/3937130. This is for standard Camaros, not convertibles. Thus sayeth my Assembly Manual. Hope this helps.

Okay then. Looks like the seal didn't start until 68. I wonder if there were complaints...

And, after doing a little digging, I found the 69 AIM page showing the seal. Different P/N and different means of attaching.

I hope Greg has bought an Assemby Manual, Ed--they've saved my butt more than once! Funny how one model year to another can be so much the same, yet so different.

That top seal served two purposes - it blocked airflow over the top of the radiator support, and with the rest of the seal package, forced all air coming through the grille to go through the radiator instead of around it. It also served to block recirculation of hot underhood air at idle over the top of the radiator support and back through the radiator, so the radiator (and A/C condenser) only saw outside ambient air, not hot underhood air.

I'd love to know if GM found a problem in the 67 that made them put the seal on the 68...
I figure the "stickum" on the 68 seal probably didn't last till you got home being exposed to motor heat, so the clips in 69 make sense.
And after John's explanation, I think I'll try to find the seal and clips and put them on my 68 original or not.  My car doesn't overheat with the A/C running, but I can tell it doesn't get real happy about it in July.

I have the 69 Service manual and the Wiring Diagram manuals.  I an going to buy the assembly manual next.  Is the Fisher Body manual a good one to have?  I am thinking of getting that one as well.   Thank you all for your inputs...this has been a big help.

Yep Greg..get it. The GM manuals have the dangest info you'd never expect. You can literally rebuild a car by them. The Body Manual is amazing....from setting the 1/4-window clearances to how to replace the windshield or align moldings, it's all there. And it's knowledge the GM mechanics went by in the day. Absolutely priceless information.
