Looking at purchasing a 67 with a 454 engine. I know 454's weren't standard for camaros so I was wondering if there was anything to worry about. It's currently paired with a turbo 400 trans, is that enough?

Trans is adequate, no problem there. Only worry is keeping tires on the rear!

yep,   and if you want to go a lot faster later on you already have a big motor to start with ;)...  TH400 are grate trans,   Also dont cost a lot to beef up

You might want to look into ladder or traction bars, if the car doesn't have an original radius rod on the rear axle.

I tied the frames and ran ladder bars when the car was being drag raced. I barely pulled the front wheels foot braking it. With the paint stripped there are no signs of twisting the body at any seams.  However , I really don't know what your doing with the car.

Personally I prefer a 350 trans due to it being lighter and a steeper 1st. Both very dependable. Also a host of aftermarket parts available.

My recently departed '70 LS5 SS came from GM Atlanta with exactly that combination - 365(+) stock horsepower, with a 400 behind it. If your intent is to drive the car, don't put a shift kit in the trans - it will absolutely break your neck on 1-2 shifts at any rpm range. The 454's have an unbelievable amount of torque. Mine ran 10.5:1 compression, L78 square port heads, Comp Cams stick, header and a Holley 850 DP, Edelbrock single plane, Pertronix, and would do a 360 and melt the tires any time you wanted to. Never a bit of problem from the trans, at all. Bulletproof.

It got traded out for a '68 Z - go figure.
