That's interesting...   first one we've had reported that didn't adhere to a consistent pattern, but yours is also the 'earliest' one reported to date.  We need some more early '69 RS WS wiper motor numbers to be reported to see when that PN might have changed..  Did you notice any other inconsistencies or differences with your unit over later units?

I honestly never gave much attention to the wiper motor setup at all. So I cant offer any more info. on that. It appears to be the original unit but as you well know, nothing is 100% on these old cars but the dirt, overspray etc. all appeared similar all around the firewall.
If it makes any difference, which I doubt, its an LM1 car too. 350/255, single exhaust,  several options like am/fm flip face radio with single speaker in dash, fold down rear seat, power front disc brakes, a/c , vinyl top. Kurt, Mark and several others know my old car, current owner is looking to put in an LS1 over the winter. :)

Been a while since I reviewed this thread, but was contacted by a member who suggested that maybe the changeover from stamped number to foil sticker is connected with the manufacturing plant that the wiper motor assemblies came from.
I hadn't spotted this before, but the motor casings appear to have 2 different stampings after the 'DELCO PRODUCTS':
Either 'DAYTON OHIO, USA' or 'ROCHESTER, N.Y. USA'
From the limited data points in the last updated table, it's impossible to identify when the stickers were actually introduced, but it would appear that there was a transition during the model year, possibly something like this:
Stamped P/N only (early)---------Stamped P/N and Sticker (mid)------------Sticker only (late)
Wonder if wiper motor production was switched from Dayton to Rochester during production, or if both manufactured motor assemblies throughout?

John,

Can you read the numbers on that sticker?   (I'd like to add all the numbers on the sticker to the table)...
( I tried to glean the numbers from your photo, but wasn't able to do so)..

Ahh - the dreaded fracture and loss of the hose bib and lower end of the valve body - seen many of them this way. Buy the lower piece from Impala Bob's and put 'er back together - at least he used to sell the lower half, with a new needle, to those of us with incomplete valves. Worth a shot, because finding an intact original is like buying a ton of unobtanium. Just my opinion -

Best flowing heads of the 3 years ( 302's) per a very reliable source.  To the thread: if you need 68 #'s let me know, looks like a 69 post.

Jano,  it appeared that sometime during 1969, the wipers went from a 'stamped' PN, to a sticker with PN and mfg dates on it.. that was basically what we were trying to glean from the data.  If you have a '68 with a stamped PN, that is as we expect, if you have a '68 with a 'stickered PN', then we'd like to see it and modify our table appropriately.
we were also confirming the two PN's (between RS and non RS wipers)...
