Convertible quarter panel brace
« on: March 16, 2013, 12:05:11 AM »
Were there braces on 69 convertible quarters similar to ones on the coupes? The braces I am referring to are the ones that are under the trunk ledge behind the rear window. They are somewhat shaped like a triangle. Wish I could describe better.

Thanks guys

Lawrence

No, there is a whole different structure under the vert sheet metal to support the top's trim sticks. Way different than the coupes.

Ok thanks. I am going to look at a convertible next weekend and it suppose to be an original sheet metal car from AZ. I know to look for the factory stampings in the trunk gutters but was also looking for other clues to originality.
