jerry wouldnt a period correct mo 302 add just as much value to the car as the original engine?that was my thinking if i dont have the numbers matching engine then a 302 would be the best alternative for increased value considering the rarity and expense of 302s

my 68 rsss l48 didnt have the original block when i purchased so i bought the next best thing a 68 z28 mo 302 to go in it .man those 302s are expensive but at least they will not hurt the value of my car probably can get more money than if i had the original motor simply for the 302 motor.what does anyone else think?

How can you say it is a canadian icon?  This is a 1st gen site Canada only produced the models nobody cares about, anyway.  I'm glad Canada has had some jobs building the unimportant camaros but the 1st gens were created and built in the good ol USA. If the 010 model is supposed to represent or celebrate the 1st gen then, I think GM's upper management has come up short again on the location of the manufacturing (which is also the same guys who drove it into bankruptcy). Please tell me if im wrong for wanting to support my country by purchasing products built here so that me and my fellow Americans will have a job.

balaclava the camaro is not a Canadian icon is it? thats my way of thinking .im not saying no cars should be produced up there im just saying the camaro shouldnt it should have stayed on US soil.if gm released a new version of a acadian canso and built the thing in the USA some of your fellow countrymen would be mad correct?even though the canso is not a good example because it didnt do that well for pontiac of canada as the nova did for chevy down here. i hope you can get the point after all we will have another common interest you have two languages french and english and we almost do with english and spanish. just a thought

still should have been built in the USA for me to own one.if we all dont start thinking that way some of us will have to beg president Hu Jintao for our dinner plate.

john we are talking about an american icon that is not being buillt here.is that not wrong? the car and its engine are being built in canada and if goverment motors is like the other american manufacturers of automobles the parts come from mexico and china to save money..all of my vehicles were built in the USA a 67 and 2 68 camaros all from ohio, toyota tacoma (indiana),toyota camry(kentucky) .it sounds like you are one of the same people that thought NAFTA CAFTA was a good idea for the USA seeing how our unemployment rate is at 10.2 percent.

thats cool but how much$ does it take?the only place the new camaro is messed up is where it is built in canada.just think if you buy one you are not  helping anybody in the USA with a job thats sad.where has america gone wrong is corporate greed the only enemy that can beat us on our own soil?
