General Discussion / How many ?
« on: December 05, 2018, 01:04:11 PM »
After a recent visit by a Admin and another member  concerning some parts, an interesting question was tossed out there. How many wrench/socket sizes does it take to disassemble a first Gen Camaro ? No you can't include the your Cresent !

I'm not at all sure if this has been asked here before, think carefully !

« on: August 19, 2012, 08:51:55 PM »
almost made it to the dream cruise, just short of Woodward ave started to get a bad clunk from the rear on left turn accelerations, we limped it home and just put it away, when i get some time will start to give it a good look, sounds like its coming from inside and not just the axle sliding around, any idea's before we rip/tear, thanks

i need to update the exhaust on my 69z, i have been looking at the magnaflow 3" SS  systems with the X pipe, but the more i look around the more confused i get, 2".5 or 3", stock look or not, etc, originality is not the main thing for this one, just a nice solid performance good sounding system, any help on this would be appreciated..

Maintenance / slight hesitation
« on: December 07, 2009, 04:07:51 PM »
after installing a new holley 4br 4479, i picked up a slight hesitation in throttle response it's always from a dead stop at 1st gear, i have a new fuel pump, new tank which i did not install but it looks fine when i had it out, also new fuel cap, changed fuel filter, new fuel line, the manifold is the old tarantula by holley, i'm thinking that the standard out of the box pump just isn't enough pressure or gpm to keep it happy,,,, any suggestions.

Maintenance / low vacuum at idle
« on: August 29, 2009, 06:04:21 PM »
Where do I start, after getting heads reworked on my 302ci 69 z and reinstalling I now have low vacuum at idle, this engine has modifications to it pistons 12/1, cam not sure but not stock by any means manifold, 750 dual pumper 4779-s, headers, HEI
I have checked for leaks and canít find any, but hereís the interesting part, I get a head brake pedal at idle, Iím checking the booster for leaks.
We used the valve adjustment  26/26 90 degrees before and after TDC , instead of the standard 30/30 at TDC, advance 33, could I have created a late valve lag to the point I have low vacuum, itís like 6 at idle , also I have very quick hesitation when I get on the throttle.
